"Pros: The property is beautifully located, peaceful and relaxing. Cons: The braai area is too far from the main house, the shop is over priced. When we wanted to leave, we were informed that we cannot leave until we are granted approval to do so. This may have been a misunderstanding in the communications however was not a comfortable feeling, likely won’t be returning due to this issue." ~Robin

Sue and Stan, the hosts, were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more special. We will definitely be back! "Pros: The most relaxing getaway! The place was clean and well-equipped, with gorgeous views of the mountains and river (although the reeds are slightly overgrown, so you can't really see the river). Lovely walking paths around the property. Just blissful! Bats fly around the ceiling at night, which scared us the first night, but we got used to them and we anticipated their visit every night. I also very much appreciated the excellent communication with Brad! Cons: The rooms are not very soundproof, and we could hear conversations and the TV loudly from the cottage attached to ours. This made the rooms not feel as private as we had anticipated. We were slightly disappointed that the lookout pool was only cleaned the late afternoon before we left, so we didn't make use of it. When we wanted to swim on the two hot days we were there, the pool did not look as inviting (we couldn't see the bottom of the pool and a film of minerals or something floated on the surface). I'm sure it would have been safe to swim in, but we didn't feel comfortable with not knowing what may have been lurking below. Nonetheless, it was nice to soak our feet in!" ~Bronwyn
