"Pros: A peaceful, luxurious retreat in a stunning setting We had an incredible stay at Simbavati Cederberg Ridge. From the moment we arrived (late in the evening), we were warmly welcomed and looked after, even being offered dinner before check-in. The whole experience felt thoughtful and well-organised from the start. We were lucky to be upgraded to a Superior Pool Suite, which was spacious, beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. The private terrace, heated pool, double bathrooms, and both indoor and outdoor showers made it feel like a true luxury experience. Housekeeping was excellent—our room was refreshed promptly whenever we stepped out, and laundry service was quick and efficient. The setting is quiet and remote, ideal for fully switching off. The decor is modern and elegant, and the whole lodge has a calm, peaceful atmosphere. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge. Food was excellent, with high-quality breakfast and dinner included (we had half board). There was a good variety of options, including daily specials, and the service in the restaurant was consistently great. We didn’t try any of the hikes or tours, but the spa treatments were lovely—the massage and pedicure left us feeling totally relaxed. The team were outstanding throughout—friendly, attentive, and proactive. A special thank you to Christian at reception and the restaurant staff who went out of their way to make our stay feel special.
