"Pros: We loved our 3 night stay over Easter weekend. It was like a home away from home. The host was very friendly and gave us all the info we needed. The place was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is a short walk to the store and beach and a great Portuguese restaurant. The little garden was fenced so our dog was safe too. The place was quiet and peaceful with plenty of bird life. We will definitely be back." ~Reana

"Pros: Enormous property. Plenty space for everyone. Great location, 2 minutes from the beach. Loved the birds in the morning in the trees. Great selection of books Great view of Kenton and the river. Fantastic facilities - braai 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms all on one level The two cleaners that welcomed us were lovely Cons: Steep stairs to enter property but easier entrance for the less mobile via back. Fantastic entertainment space upstairs but no bathroom available on sabe level Everything else fantastic" ~Ailsa

"Pros: lovely old Bushmans home but tastefully renovated and well equipped. The position in its best attribute, being near to the sea and river with a slight river view. The rooms are large and comfortable. The outside pictures dont do the house justice as once u enter it is homely with a kitchen that is overly equipped with everything u would need for a family. we only used the main house so I can't say anything about the flatlet which has extra bedrooms. I booked for 6 adults and we only used the 3 bedrooms in the house- luckily we ended up being 5 and so sharing wasn't an issue. Maybe they need to check next time if it is couples or singles who may want sep rooms as u pay for the entire 10 sleeper even if u are fewer guests. Host did offer us a late check out which was appreciated. Cons: The only issue was an unresponsive host. After confirming on 2 occasions that we would arrive at 1pm, there was no staff or access code sent to me. This resulted in us triggering the alarms in the garden , having armed response who no longer monitors the premises unable to help, us even tho they were willing and just as confused as we were. It took hours , by which time it was night for the host to contact me and apologise. In this day and age of easy communication this is shocking." ~Luyckfasseel

"Pros: The accommodation is beautiful and fully kitted with everything you could ask for. It is serviced daily and the pool was welcome during the warm days. Cons: The place next door (also owned by the Oyster Collection) is undergoing major renovations and the construction noise, which began before 8am, really ruined, what we had hoped would be a restful, peaceful vacation." ~Marisa
