"Pros: Wonderful stay!!! A charming family-run B&B. They are so welcoming and helpful and think of the little details to make for a pleasant stay. They even pointed out that I'd accidentally reserved/paid for for 2 people instead of just me so initiated a correction with Booking.com. Even for a few floors, there's an elevator. The room was spacious, comfortable, and while the penzion had a quaint Alpine village vibe, the bathroom was modern. My room had a little balcony and a view of Bled Castle across the lake. The included breakfast was the best I've ever had at any hotel/B&B - a large buffet of cereal, bread/spreads, yogurts, pancakes and sweets, and a variety of vegetables and cheeses. In addition, they will make eggs to order for each guest. The location was excellent. A short walk from the lake and not far from the bus station. I felt well cared for at Penzion Mayer.
Cons: It didn't affect me but just a note for those with mobility issues, the walk from the lake is mostly uphill."
