"Pros: The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. The apartment provided all you need. It was quiet. The windows are darkened so that nobody can see in from the street; you have privacy. You can park your car in front of the house. I liked the location close to the ferry. Cons: I had the impression each single word was "too much" for the hosts. Ahead of the stay Michel replied very shortly but - as it turned out - this wasn't due to a language problem. His parents were there for the check-in. I had hundreds of bookings in the past but never before someone was so taciturn as they were. There was not a single word of small talk. I had the impression they don't like Western tourists or that they didn't like the fact that I had already booked a car somewhere else (they have an own car rental). The first 2 days I had no warm water. Michel's father made it look, as if I hadn't turned the handle in the direction of the red dot (what I do my whole lifetime and had tried before, for sure). After I told them there wasn't warm water, they turned it on. The only kitchen equipment I wanted to use was the electric kettle (to heat up water). When I wanted to use it for the first time, there was water inside and at the bottom was a copper-colored substance." ~Stephanie
