"Pros: This was the most delightful stay - the highlight of our trip! The chalets are at the top of a steep hill - offering the most unbelievable views, from our balcony, of the Beau Vallon Bay, the sea and town and the forest at the back. The chalets are private, in a lovely garden and quiet area. We were met by our super helpful and kind hostess, Celestine, and found a lovely chalet with flowers and a fridge stocked with a welcoming drink (see photo of our coconut drink displayed on our balcony with a view), fruit, milk, water, juice, eggs, bread, butter, jam, etc, ... We had two chalets. Both are spacious, super clean, well furnished and "feels like home". They are equipped with everything - stove, microwave, washing machine, toaster, Weber braai (barbecue), all the "usual" kitchen utensils, iron - even umbrellas for all of us. Celestine checked daily whether we need anything and spoiled us with homemade snacks (the "bread fruit fries" were delicious) and fruit from her lovely garden. She also treated us to a delicious fish. All these wonderful treats were offered out of her kindness. Celestine kindly offered to organise a taxi whenever we needed one and she helped us wherever she could. When "at home", we mostly spent our time sitting on our balcony, enjoying the incredible ever-changing views. We enjoyed walking in the area and felt completely safe. We recommend a visit to the Botanical Garden (in Victoria itself). It is beautifully done and maintained and we saw amazing trees and plants. We went by taxi. Cons: Everything was exceptional - we really felt so spoilt! The road to the chalets is very steep and there are stairs to the chalets - visitors with mobility issues might find it difficult." ~Manda
