"Pros: Nice place to stay overnight. It’s dog friendly which is an awesome bonus. Easy on street parking which is free over the weekend and not expensive otherwise. Lovely leafy residential neighbourhood with coffee shops nearby.
The flat is small and it’s in the basement so there’s not a lot of light and the bathroom doesn’t have great ventilation." ~Magda
"Pros: Beautiful apartment, truly a gem. Those Habsburg high ceilings, wooden floors, big windows are to die for. I would recommend you stay here for that alone. The host were responsive even over the Holiday.
Cons: The building however, tells a completely different story. At first, I wasn't sure I had the right address, as the exterior appeared very worn-down. The area felt a bit secluded and quiet, with some of the nearby buildings seeming completely abandoned. While it's close to the center, I did feel a bit uneasy walking the 1-2 blocks to get there because there were literally no people, especially as a solo woman traveler. Inside the building, the lights were flickering like a horror movie cliche, which totally creeped me out. I wish I could upload a video.
Oh, and I could hear creeks at night that also unsettled me. To make matters worse, the tram runs right in front of the building, and the whole place shakes every time it passes. The tram went on almost non-stop as it was Easter, and with the shape the building was in I found myself hoping it wouldn't collapse! BONUS: There was a religious icon on the bedroom shelf (in typical orthodox fashion), which felt a bit out of place for an accommodation that’s supposed to be welcoming to people from all backgrounds. As an atheist, I couldn't help but cringe a little." ~Alice
