The host was so helpful - we requested early check in, which they were able to accommodate. All messages were responded to quickly. Cons: It is on the 4th floor, so people with mobility issues would struggle. There is a lift but it’s small and wouldn’t fit a wheelchair in it. "Pros: If you're deciding between a large chain hotel and a small local one — go local! At Hotel Monaco, you’ll feel genuinely cared for every step of the way. You can see the love and attention to detail in everything — from the warm decor to the little touches that make your stay more comfortable. The owners and staff clearly put their hearts into creating a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. At breakfast, you're offered to cook your own omelette, but don’t hesitate to ask for your eggs any way you like — they’ll gladly prepare them. I was also recommended a great local restaurant, and when I went on a day trip to Transylvania, they sent me off with water and a full bag of snacks. Their kindness even moved me to tears a couple of times. The hotel is located in a quiet, clean, and safe neighbourhood surrounded by embassies, schools, cafes, and restaurants. There’s a small shop and a lovely park nearby, and it's just a 15-minute peaceful walk to the city centre. I didn’t need any public transport during my stay — except for the airport transfer. A Bolt taxi between the airport and the hotel costs around €10–12 and arrives within minutes. Support local small businesses — it’s truly worth it." ~Anastasia
