"Pros: Close to many things in the San Juan area. Nice little apartment, just fine for 2 people who want to get out and do things during the day. Excellent weather. The area felt safe, and there were shops and nice restaurants within walking distance. There is an ocean view a couple of blocks away, but the beach seems to have been devastated by Maria. Nearby beaches were nice. Cons: Nothing was a huge problem, but little things like the smoke detector randomly beeping at all hours of the night prevent me from rating it a 5-star property. Getting to the only entrance for gated area was tricky the first night. The apartment number was painted over, so it wasn’t clear where to park at first. The enclosed patio was “under construction” so our back patio door was impossible to open. The owner was usually responsive but started almost every communication reminding us to give a 5-star rating because they depend on good ratings. We weren’t supposed to open any windows which is odd, given the nice weather." ~Jg

"Pros: Nice clean place. The kitchen is good with a large fridge and lots of room. Two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms was very nice. The whole neighborhood is security gated at night and security drives around monitoring all night. Beaches are nice nearby. Cons: Could use a coffee table since the one there is used for the TV. I booked two nights for 4 people and price showed $565, then there is a $75 cleaning fee, so it said the total was $640. I ended up paying $736. The owner said it was the Booking.com commission and he waived the taxes that would have been even more. Anyway, understand the real price." ~Richard
