"Pros: The house is very beautiful. The representatives of the company we communicated with were very polite. The grounds are well-maintained and lovely. The pool is very clean. Good internet. We were allowed to stay with our dogs. The bedrooms and bathrooms were fairly clean. Clean bed linens and towels were provided, along with spare sheets. There were also shampoos, shower gels, and plenty of toilet paper available. Cons: However, the house needs a deep cleaning. There are a lot of dishes, but most of them were not very clean. The absence of wine glasses was surprising — quite unusual for Portugal. The sun loungers and outdoor sofas were quite dirty. Some chairs were broken. There was no dishwashing detergent in the house — neither liquid soap nor dishwasher capsules. When we arrived, there were dishes in the dishwasher, which were apparently meant to be clean. But they weren’t. Either the dishes had been sitting there for a long time and food residues dried onto them, or the dishwasher doesn’t clean well. Also, the compartment for the detergent capsule was broken — the lid wouldn’t close. The kettle didn’t work either. We booked the house for 7 people for 2 nights. There was a coffee machine, but only 5 capsules were provided. The lock on the shared toilet was also broken. The door simply wouldn’t close. This is unacceptable for such a large house that hosts many guests. Another downside: the neighbors constantly mow their lawns — in the morning, during the day, and in the evening. In the evening it’s too noisy to talk, and in the morning you can’t sleep. Of course, this isn’t the owners’ fault, but just something to be aware of. All in all, for such a high price, we expected better service." ~Alena
