"Pros: Great villa in Tabua! My family and I stayed for a total of 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The villa is spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated, and has modern amenities, a wonderful view of the sea, and a great outdoor area/pool. It's in a good location for exploring Madeira island......including about 20-25 minutes to Funchal and about the same to the north coast via one of the central valleys. The host, Orlanda, was easy to communicate with and responsive every time I reached out with a question and/or an update. I wouldn't hesitate to book Villa Golden Charm again and would highly recommend to other families looking for a great place to stay on the south coast of Madeira." ~Thomas
"Pros: Pool was great, villa was lovely & host was really helpful
Cons: No air con or blinds in living area which made the villa very hot. Sofa & chairs very uncomfortable." ~Beth
"Pros: The communication with the property owner was excellent. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, and the balcony offered an amazing view." ~Sara
"Pros: Quinta Terezinha is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a base to discover the island. The host Laura was so friendly and was really useful in providing information for the shops, restaurants and places to visit. The accommodation itself was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The farmhouse was lovely with comfy beds, a great shower and really clean. We didn't really make the most of the outdoor areas, but there are hammocks, a barbeque and sun loungers all with amazing views. As others have mentioned, you will likely become the owner of a couple of cats for your stay which we loved. On arrival, Laura had prepared a welcome hamper with some local exotic fruits, ground coffee and a bottle of Madeira Wine which was a lovely touch. If you run out or want any more fresh produce from the farm then the instructions are to just help yourself. What an amazing stay - just wish we could have stayed longer.
Cons: Just so that other visitors are aware, the driveway from where you leave the car to walk up/down to the property is very steep. This wasn't a problem for us but it's just something you may need to be aware of. However, this is Madeira where everywhere is steep so no criticism of the property. If you want views as good as this, you have to go up hills :-)" ~Darryl
