"Pros: Well equipped cottage in a beautiful location. The neighbor who helped us get checked in was very kind and helpful. The owner was very responsive on text. Cons: The Azores are humid and the house did need an airing out. Slight smell nothing horrible houses need air circulation! A dehumidifier is available and we ran it the entire stay. It’s something to be aware of not a criticism" ~Margaret

"Pros: The location was useful and the shower was nice. Cons: The house has windows without screens so you really cannot open them to get in fresh air. The house consequently has a musty smell and it is very humid. The humidifier was too small for the space and so after several hours it had to be emptied. That meant when we came back at night the humidifier was off (full) and the house very humid. This just unfortunately made the stay not comfortable. The smell is the worst part." ~Andrea

"Pros: Nothing. Cons: The business with this house at Pico island, called Casa Cachalote, it is a really dirty business. I have never seen in my already long life such poor quality for such money. The house is full of insect everytime and everywhere. The house wasn’t cleaned before we came, the house wasn’t even opened for such a long time that the smell inside is really incredible. The last night I have discovered the insect even in my bed thus we spent last night in the car from the rental service rather than in our expensive bed. I do not recommned to rent. All can be documented by the photos. Terrible experience. The owner reaction when we requested partially the money back was in the same proffesional way - no reason for that. Ha ha..." ~Josef
