The inviting Solar includes an outdoor swimming pool and a wine cellar. The Solar’s rooms are separated into two main themes, popular art and history. Therefore, the decoration is contemporary, yet maintaining a traditional flavour. These air-conditioned rooms all feature a private bathroom with a hairddryer, and a view. If you prefer to enjoy your meals in your accommodation, the Solar may provide a cooker specialised in local cuisine, upon request. It also features a library and a lounge with a fireplace. There guests can relax in a tranquil atmosphere and read or access the free WiFi. In the property’s wine tasting room, guests may savour several different quality wines, highlighted by the region’s typical Vinho Verde. The property’s staff organizes hiking trip, subject to an extra fee. There is also the possibility to rent bikes and go for a tour of the Romanesque route. The Solar is primely located for those wishing to discover the northern region of Portugal, since it is within an hour-drive of historical cities such as Guimarães, Braga and Amarante. The Porto Internacional Airport is a 31-minute drive from the Egas Moniz, and the Solar offers a shuttle service, at an extra fee.
