"Pros: Hosts were lovely and apartment was really clean. We liked the location as it was pretty centrally located on the island and getting onto the main roads from the apartment was quick. We always found a free parking space outside the apartment. We rented a car from Jorge and Tania which was a seamless experience, including to and from the airport. The apartment has nice vintage furnishings and the facilities were great. If you do stay, we can recommend the local restuarant Alma Latina. Cons: I don't have any criticism to give. The mattress on the downstairs bed is pretty soft, which is a personal preference, however we didn't try the bed upstairs! Definitely not a reason to not stay here, we really recommend it." ~Sarah

"Pros: We were greeted at the location by the hosts who explained how things work. We also appreciated a welcome gift of local specialties, which was indeed a nice treat after the long flight. Thank you for this! - Good location for driving to most of the attractions as this is almost in the center of the island. - A lot of parking places nearby. - Well laid out apartment so enough space for everyone. - Everything which is needed for basic cooking and everyday cleaning is available. - Dryer was especially appreciated in the humid climate. - Additional cleaning was included." ~Krystsina

"Pros: We stayed here as a group of six and couldn’t have found a more ideal place. Each bedroom comes with its own bathroom, giving everyone their privacy – a huge plus! The view from the property is absolutely breathtaking, with clear, stunning views of the sea. There’s a short footpath down to the coast, making it easy to enjoy the natural surroundings. The location is excellent for exploring the island. There are small supermarkets within walking distance, making it convenient for picking up essentials. Pedro, our host, was amazing – always responsive, very friendly, and quick to offer tips. He recommended a fantastic nearby restaurant within walking distance, which we loved so much we visited twice! The apartment provides shower gel and shampoo, as well as extra towels specifically for visiting the hot springs – a thoughtful touch. Just steps away from the apartment is a natural pool by the sea that fills up at high tide. We absolutely loved this unique experience! There are two parking spaces right outside the apartment, which is really nice for a bigger group. A quick note: the kitchen is generally well-equipped, but be aware that some basics like salt, pepper, and cooking essentials like oil and a pasta strainer weren’t provided, so plan ahead. Overall, this was a wonderful base for our Azores adventure, and we’d highly recommend it for groups or families looking to enjoy this beautiful island! Cons: On a very subjective note, the lighting was a bit too cold for our taste. With warmer lighting, this already lovely apartment would feel even cozier." ~Nina
