"Pros: The location is close enough to everything you may need in Funchal. There is a convenience store at the gas station 5 minutes away and a supermarket about 500 meters away. The terrace offers a nice vista.
Cons: The taxi drivers had a hard time finding the right place. The cutlery and dishes were poorly washed before we arrived, and finding a wine bottle opener was a challenge (which is a blasphemy in Portugal, to my understanding).
The water pressure in the shower is so-so, and the Internet was working poorly for most of our stay."

"Pros: Very spacious, clean and in very good condition. Very welcoming owner. Close enough to the center.
Cons: There was a dog barking a lot, thankfully not during the night but it was a bit annoying when having dinner on the terrace.
A bit steep walk back from the centre with a pushchair it wasnt very easy, so we took taxis."

"Pros: Everything about this hotel from the location, to the buffet breakfast and dinners, to the views from our sea view bedroom to the staff exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend this hotel! Myself and my partner got engaged and the hotel staff had a bottle of Prosecco and photograph printed off in our room when we came back which I thought was a lovely touch! We rented a car and we were able to park it in the hotels car park free of charge also. We will definitely be back!
