"Pros: Absolutely outstanding refurbished and repurposed traditional Villa into apartment lets, well situated for those that enjoy being in a residential area that still feels Portuguese, enjoys great facilities and being at a location and elevation to enjoy the mountain scenery. Top floor apartment of the villa was exceptional, some may dislike the busy road close by but for me it made it more real and lively, plus well connected to bus routes into Funchal and out to Nuns Valley. The parking area again like the whole refurbishment project was exceptional. If you are planning a hiking holiday using a hire car this is great place to have as a base camp, all the appliances you need in your clean well designed and modern space, close by supermarket and also Decathlon and the Forum a short walk ( Decathlon) and drive ( Forum shopping centre with an excellent supermarket, cinema and retail space. Formosa and lido complex again not very far either. The customer service and support via Rosa was spot on and she was very helpful and easy to contact All in all for my 5 th stay in Madeira since 1998 this was the best so far, class leading facilities and at very good value too Cons: Nothing significant, did recommend that shower could do with a curtain behind you in the cubicle as the glass screen doesn’t fully stop water splashing onto the lovely traditional polished wooden floor. I found the electric shower great and 40 deg c for 10 mins was twice as much time as I needed. ( was criticised by another reviewer so was wary but no concerns here)" ~Jeff

"Pros: Location was good. Only 10-15min drive to Funchal centre. Internet connection was great. A/C was also good. Washing machine facilities were very useful. Overall it was a good experience, the host is very friendly and helpful. I truly believe the issues we experiences will be rectified by him for other visitors to come! Cons: Amount of centipedes that make their way into the house over night. Lack of bathroom ventilation. Lack of water spill control in the shower area. The shower head holder that struggles holding the shower head. Door handles that are failing (be careful, do not latch any internal doors)." ~Mantas
