"Pros: Comfortable property with underground parking spot, convenient location with bus stop right outside if one doesn't want to struggle with parking in central Funchal, some places to eat and supermarket nearby. Useful to have washing machine for longer stays. The apartment was clean and modern. Gas water heater means you never run out of hot water if there are several people staying. Friendly host handed over the keys and explained all we needed to know for our stay. Cons: Cooker knobs need fixing - tricky to turn on the hotplates. Would be useful with more glasses and cups - we only had 3 of each for 4 people staying. But most importantly, there a dog 2 floors down (directly under the apartment) that seems to be left alone in the flat and barks and howls all day - property management should look into it and perhaps speak to the owners or inform relevant services as it's extremely disturbing - both noise and the animal's discomfort" ~Katarzyna
