"Pros: Facility, cleanliness, service, location, fully equipped kitchenette, the host. Close to supermarket, gas station, restaurants, café and 10 min drive/1 hour walk to Ikea/Mall. Cons: The bed was a bit hard/stiff. The staircase was a bit small/narrow, even for a petite person. Lack of hangers. Hot water in the shower lasts approximately 15 min (men shower 5 min, lady 10 min - so ladies, you need to multitask 😁). "Pros: We had THE BEST time at Vila Lana - from meeting Nuno who was a wonderful friendly and helpful host, to when we departed, everything was perfect. The place was clean and cool and very spacious, we lovedddd the pool which was heated so we used it endlessly! "Pros: Lovely and beautiful place on the countryside. Nice and calm, with a small town nearby where we could get groceries. Cottage was great and provided all that we needed. We enjoyed the pool and lemons from the tree just outside. The owner was nice and welcoming. Easy to get in an uber and go to Faro, airport or whereever. Cons: The owner lived just next by with her dog. The dog was barking at us a whole lot, especially when the owner wasn’t home. One time we brought our dinner inside because it was standing around 8 meters away behind a fence just barking and growling at us, we couldn’t hear Watch other. The owner, when home, tried to stop the dog several times, oftentimes with succes. But unfortunately the dog did negatively affect our stay, as we were hoping for peace and quiet" ~Emilie
