"Pros: Good location, easy communication with the host, fully equipped apartment if you want to cook during your stay, even spices and coffee pods. The host is very friendly, will meet you at arrival, he gave us a lot of info for best spots in Coimbra. The balconies, one from the living room, one from the master bedroom have wonderful views of the city. The second bedroom witha bunk bed has little natural light, only from a small roof window. There is a supermarket nearby and the market is at a 5 min walk. Cons: Note that it is located at the top floor, an attic, in an old quarter house, therefore expect a lot of steps and no elevator. It didn't bother us, but others with small kids, buggies or old family members might. The major inconvenient is not the apartment, which is great, but the next door bakery, which starts preparing the goodies really early in the morning, around 4.30-5.00. The major problem is that the smell of bakery will fill the appartment and your sleep will be disturbed by the constant humming of the bakery exhaust system which probably passes aligned with the bedroom wall. As I am a light sleeper it was terrible for me, my husband and son were just lighly distubed by the smell, not the noise. We recommend it for shorter stays, not longer ones as it was our case." ~Mariana-iulia
