"Pros: Big house good for a large company or two families. Since there were two of us, only the first floor would be enough for us. The kitchen is well equipped. Very clean. A small terrace with a view of the ocean and Ponta do Sol Cons: Trouble getting the safe box feed code. A client with poor language skills has to call to get the code. Can this procedure be made easier? The house is quite far from the main roads - 5 km up. We were prepared for this, but visitors should be aware of this. A car is a must." ~Petro

"Pros: we liked everything , great view from the large sunny balcony with a very well equipped kitchen, tv had plenty of english channels. Wifi is good in the living room. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water and a great host. Cons: at the moment there is no parking space but this will be soon resolved as it was being built while we were there." ~Brian

"Pros: The apartment is huge, and very clean with all the amenities you need. There is a parking garage with a reserved space just for you. The check-in is very easy. Veronica, the hostess, is a very kind and warm person. No problem with the conversation, if you need anything you can just contact her. She left us a welcome gift, which we appreciated very much. I read some people complained about no dishwasher. We did cook but found no need for a dishwasher. Two bathrooms, one with a shower and another with a tub. The location is uphill from Ponta do Sol in a quiet neighborhood. It can be a bit chilly in the evenings/nights but we had warm comforters and extra blankets were left in the closet. I'm so glad we chose to stay outside of Funchal. I really appreciated the peace and quiet. The pool is amazing, I did not swim, but my kiddo was there almost every day. There is also a charcoal grill. Cons: I saw that the mattresses were new, but unfortunately pretty uncomfortable, especially the one in the master bedroom. I have a problem with my lower back so that was a huge issue for me. I tried to change the beds/rooms, and even tried to sleep on a sofa in the living room. My husband, who is healthy, says he couldn't sleep well due to uncomfortable mattresses. I would recommend a host to buy mattress toppers which would solve the problem. Unfortunately, I'm familiar with the fact that when you buy mattresses, you can get a completely different mattress than the one you tried in the store. So hence the recommendation for the toppers (which solved our problem at home). I'm still giving a rating of 10, no matter the uncomfy beds in the hope when we visit again, the beds will be much better." ~Mihaela
