"Pros: Comfortable, well equipped large room in a peaceful location walking distance to the centre. Lovely gardens and small but delightful pool. Great craft beer in the bar and restaurant. Cons: Every business owner has the right to run their business the way they choose, I fully understand. But I was uncomfortable with the requirement of a 5k cash deposit taken on arrival and then the passive aggressive signs telling you not to do things in the room, each of which included a ‘ penalty fee’ if you did them. Equally, once you book on booking.com with your credit card, you then discover that you can’t pay by credit card and have a series of instructions telling you how you must pay in advance. In MY view, this diminished my enjoyment of the stay. I probably will not return because of this." ~Graham
