"Pros: We loved our stay in Oceanica Resort this past week. I was meeting a friend in Bohol who had a few days of vacation time after her work and we wanted to catch up. The relaxing resort grounds were perfect for this plus the beautiful long beach is also a plus. We walked every day we were there in the afternoon to sunset. At low tide, we could see the unique terrain of the sea floor, the small mounds of sand with sea grass appeared just like magic. We walked out there and found a few locals collecting sea urchins that get stuck in the small pools of water. It was interesting! And during high tide, it's all submerged under water and you can just see the different layers of green water showing the shallow and deeper areas. The beach had plenty of sun beds and hammocks for all the guests wanting to enjoy the shore. And you can see the staff cleaning the beach area. Security personnel were around especially making sure everyone was safe. The facilities were also very good. They had an airconditioned lounge to wait in if you arrive earlier than check in time and provided a welcome weaved leaf necklace and welcome drinks. The rooms were large and clean, we got a twin room with a view of the pool, poolside bar and garden. Despite it being near the pool, it was a good balance of quiet and some activity. The bathroom was clean, water pressure and temperature were perfect, very nice shampoo conditioner and body soap provided in refillable bottles, and they provided clean towels each day. They also provided two half-liter water bottles each day but we can also ask for more any time. Electric kettle was provided with some coffee and tea, and a small refrigerator in the room. The breakfast had a good selection of local and international food and the food was delicious. They also gave us a big serving for the takeaway box complete with coffee and fruits, on the morning when we had an early activity. The staff were very courteous and friendly and explained everything in... Cons: I like that they use sustainable reusable bottles that are sealed every time they refill them. But, the bottles were very hard to open, maybe the hotel mgmt can find better lids. They just have one menu for lunch and dinner, some items a bit pricey but the food was good anyway. The dining hall is not airconditioned but we had a pretty breezy few days there so it was comfortable but I can imagine the heat during the summer." ~Tina
