"Pros: This was a truly unique and relaxing stay. Manuel and Jhene were very welcoming and accommodating, always responsive over WhatsApp to any questions or requests. On my final day I had to leave very early, and they brought breakfast to my room at half 6 (even though normally breakfast is from 7am) - they offered to do this without me even asking. It was very kind.
It's easy to arrange tours through Manuel, I did a few and these were really interesting as well. Other than that, this is a great place to just relax, especially when it's sunny enough to sit out on the terrace and watch the world go by!
The breakfast and food in the restaurant was very good, there was always plenty of hot water for tea/coffee which was appreciated in the cold mornings and evenings.
Cons: This isn't a criticism as it's not really something that can be controlled, but more of a heads up that it does get VERY cold at night! If you bring lots of layers then you'll be fine, there are tons of blankets on the bed to keep warm. But just be prepared for that, and also to be patient with the shower as there isn't always super hot water on demand." ~Abigail
"Pros: A really good stay! My sister and i both had a huge double bed each and rhe blankets were SO COMFY. Manuel picked us up at the port for 30 soles. The food was aslo super tasty (we took trucha a la plancha and we were just amazed)
Highly highly recommend a stay here!!" ~Rialan
"Pros: Renzo and his wife really are the best and friendliest hosts we met on our trip so far. If we could rate it more than 10 stars, we would :) He really makes everything for you to have the best time on Uros Islands. With him we could do 3 activities: kayaking, riding a traditional boat (&learning more about life on the Titicaca lake) and visiting the Uros museum.
In addition his wife cooked really delicious traditional food.
Renzo even made it possible for us to bring friends for dinner to his island.
When we left we had to leave really early because of road blockages and so he brought us in the middle of the night back to the mainland (he even organized a boat with a closed roof because it was raining so hard).
We highly recommend to book your stay with Renzo and his wife :)" ~Raphael
