"Pros: We loved everything in the lodge: the tastefully decorated and recently built Cabanas, with huge bathroom, super comfy beds and cute terrace with view on the Gocta cascade, set in a stunning well-kept garden. We could not use the natural water pool as we were in winter season, but it looked very inviting. The staff all from the local village is very friendly and they served one of the best breakfast in Perú.
Cons: It is not in the center of the town unlike the other hotels, and a bit of a hike if you don’t have or want to use your car to visit the town, especially in the evening where you need a flashlight to see anything. Even the tuktuks don’t/cannot get only half way to the lodge due to the slope and “road”. That said, it was really not a big issue for the only night when we decided to have diner in the village instead of staying at the lodge, and did not regret it as everyone is super helpful and friendly."
