"Pros: Very friendly contact . The owners tried to make all possible to accommodate the clients needs. The contacts were prompt and very good. They provided tips for dinner and offered help. Cons: The main pool of the picture is in need of serious maintenance and cleaning. Safety grates are missing , the water is milky spoilt. We wouldn't let our kid use the main pool for those reasons. Only a few chairs left around the main pool + most of the facility stuff not functioning or broken. The smaller pools were ok. The whole gated community looks past its best time. Many of the units are for sale/ are in bad shape . It's one of like many failed housing / golfing projects on Caribbean islands . Was ok for 2 nights . It's always hard to rate like this. But for the condition and remote location ( only very limited restaurants and almost nothing around ) can't recommend for extended stay. We wanted to see El Valle de Anton. Needed only 2 nights in the vicinity . For that it's ok. Min driving time 30km to next bigger place with the usual facilities/ mall / restaurants. Rio Hato has nothing except a super 99." ~Sascha
