"Pros: This has been the best B&B experience we've had so far! The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations on things to do in Palau, as well as insights into the island's culture and family life. The view of the ocean from the room, the sounds of wild chickens in the garden, and the scent of tropical flowers and freshly made banana pancakes in the morning are just a few of the things that stand out in our memories and made us love the guesthouse. The highlight of the location is its proximity to the bay area - just a 5-minute walk from the house. The family has kayaks that guests can use to explore the area individually, which is a great alternative to booking a pricy kayaking tour. For trips to other parts of Rock Island or diving spots, we booked a tour, and the operators picked us up directly from the guesthouse. Initially, we were a bit worried because there isn’t a full kitchen available and no supermarkets or restaurants within walking distance, but our concerns turned out to be unnecessary. There are a few very small markets within walking distance, and for restaurants or larger supermarkets, we simply asked the family to call a taxi. The taxi fare was $7 one way. It's easy to buy fresh food and heat it up, as the guesthouse offers a microwave and small oven. The owners were also kind enough to cook pasta for us one evening. Although you share the same house and entrance with the owners, they are very respectful of your privacy. We will definitely come back to explore more! Cons: The only negative comment isn’t about the B&B itself, but about the booking system. We had to cancel our reservation on short notice, and Booking.com stated that we would incur an $86 cancellation fee. Before canceling, I checked the B&B’s availability for one month later, and the price for the room was the same. I informed the guesthouse of the cancellation and that we would return a month later. Booking.com sent me an email with updated conditions, but due to an oversight on my part, I didn't notice the updated conditions. In the end, we discovered that the cancellation fee wasn’t charged. Instead, the daily rate was raised, which exceeded the cancellation fee and went a bit beyond our budget. This made the trip a bit more expensive than expected, but didn’t change our enthusiasm for this accommodation and the hosts." ~Patricia

"Pros: Ngermid Oasis lives up to its name! We loved that it was tucked away a few miles from downtown Koror. Jerome and Godiva go above and beyond starting with communication before arrival. We stayed for 10 nights and they helped with booking tours, taxis, car rentals etc. It was the perfect home away from home for exploring Palau. Thank you!" ~Kristen

"Pros: We had superb 2 weeks stay here with kids 5 and 9. There was plenty of space for everyone! Secluded quiet location in lush jungles was a plus but you defiantly need a car which easy to arrange with owners. Jerome and Godiva are amazing hosts, maintained quick communication from start to the end. They did everything regular people could possibly do to make our experience seamless. They can also provide tours to outer islands, we did Rock islands snorkeling and Peleliu tour and very happy with it. Highly recommend their local half day Nikko bay tour!" ~Evgeny
