"Pros: Lovely little place. When researching where to stay in Nizwa, I was deciding between here and the Nizwa Heritage Inn. To be honest, I can’t remember why I chose Date palm inn - I think it was a better price. And I don’t regret it. The price was affordable and for what we paid, it was very good value. The room was quite nice and the decor was lovely. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom was fine - had what we needed and the shower was decent. There was actually a lizard in there but we didn’t notice till the end. Not a big deal for us. They had a strange system where you were given an actual lock and key to lock the door from the outside but it was simple enough and kind of cool. Location was great - a 5-7 minute walk from Nizwa fort and the souq which was very convenient. Parking was available on the street but you could also park inside. The actual place was quite lovely. There was a cute little garden walkthrough with a pond and surrounding trees and if you appreciate nice places to stay and look at, this definitely ticks the box. The breakfast was great for me. The caretaker made a fresh omelette for me and there was some nice juice and great karak tea (made my trip!). My wife who doesn’t like eggs had some cereal and some jam on toast which was good enough but a larger selection would have been better. That being said, breakfast was 2.5 rials each so not too expensive. The caretaker who was always available was a lovely man, understood enough English to get things across but that’s all we needed. "Pros: The entire place is gorgeous, you feel like you are staying in a place taken out from Aladdin movie, the vibe is unique. Is location walking distance to the main attractions of Nizwa. And the owners have one of the best coffee shops in all Oman just around the corner. Cons: Nil." ~José
