"Pros: I loved having a private space and entrance, but also the comfort of having the host family in the house upstairs. It was close to a supermarket, and the public transportation in Tromsø was great so it was easy to travel to and from the city centre and airport. It snowed a lot the weekend I stayed (mid-March), but the house was always warm and cozy! I wish I could have stayed longer. Cons: I quite enjoyed trekking through and shovelling a couple of feet of snow (as a Canadian who has lived abroad for a few years), but that might not be everyone's cup of tea; be prepared for a proper dose of winter! Also, nothing to do with the property or hosts, but I didn't get to see the Northern Lights because of the snow clouds all weekend :'(" ~Teagan

"Pros: I love that this place is in Kvaloya and it is not far from Tromso City Center. If you are looking to stay outside the city, i recommend this place. We really have a good time there. The entire room is nice with good bed, sofa and kitchen area. The bus stop is not too far. It is in walking distant. The location is great to use as base to explore some part of Kvaloya by public transportation. Cons: The wash basin in the bathroom is very small and may not be comfortable of rinse your face, mouth. But if you have plastic cup, there shouldn't be a problem. There is no hanger in shower room so you may have to put shampoo bottle on floor. Other than these minor thing, this place is perfect." ~Rujikan
