"Pros: Cosy atmosphere, but there is another building that has the “stunning” view - in check in instruction it was mentioned it is rarely used but it was rented out when we were there so it felt a bit strange considering the small distance between the cabin and the main house Cons: Fireplace is of course a prominent feature but no wood was prepared for guests to use? It was end of June and it was hardly warm in the cabin… Cabin has no WiFi - we understand 4g is available in Norway but for modern day travel lack of WiFi feels strange especially if you want to use the laptop Cabin should also clearly mention that bedrooms are upstairs and you have to climb really narrow stairs to get there - anyone with injuries actually wouldn’t be able to do it. It’s of course very charming but information upfront would have helped." ~Ljubov

"Pros: A cosy traditional square-shaped house from the 1950s with a charming decor. Calm neighbourhood. A 15-minute drive to the Lofotr Viking museum. Well-equipped kitchen with beautiful Nowegian tableware and including small home appliances like coffee machine, microwave, toaster. There are heaters since it can get a bit chilly inside if it's cold and rainy outside. Apparently owned by a couple so it's nice to support locals instead of a corporation. Cons: The only bathroom is in the basement behind steep stairs, so I wouldn't recommend to someone who has issues with balance or something related. Also the basement has quite a strong smell of "potato cellar" (a smell of damp/mildew) so won't recommend if you are sensitive to air quality. Additionally not an ideal place for a very tall person since the ceiling upstairs is quite low. The handbook/instructions at the house could be proofread, some sentences were a bit unclear. The house has upstairs beds for six but is more suitable for four people because there are only four kitchen chairs, there is no dishwasher and the toilet and the shower are in the same room. The kitchen could use a new dish brush (the one there is quite stiff) and the knives could be sharpened." ~Riikka
