"Pros: We stayed here for three nights to celebrate my mum’s 70th birthday with the family, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The setting is absolutely beautiful—nestled on a vineyard with views of rolling hills, cows, chickens, and even a pig, which our family loved. The house itself was well-equipped, comfortable, and worked perfectly for all ages, including my 96-year-old grandmother. Alistair and Karen were fantastic hosts—friendly, helpful, and incredibly responsive. They even went out of their way to arrange for some of my grandmother’s belongings to be posted back after she accidentally left them behind, which we really appreciated. This was such a memorable stay, and we’d absolutely love to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and charming stay in Matakana." ~Adam
