"Pros: The apartment itself is just lovely, very comfortable and with everything you might need for an independent stay (kitchen, washing machine, etc). We did not meet the hosts--it's entirely self-managed--but the book of info about the apartment and about Twizel was really helpful. I can only assume that the view and the stargazing from the apartment are excellent, when it's not so cloudy you can barely manage to see the trees just outside. :( So I can't speak to the external value of the place, but the interior is really nice and genuinely comfortable. I could absolutely see taking an extended stay there. Cons: This sounds fiddly, but the instructions for check-in are written in the wrong order, which makes it a bit confusing to figure out how to get into the place. (Park, then walk, then keys from the lockbox, then enter the apartment.) Also, the apartment is unbelievably quiet UNTIL the small planes start taking off around 7:00 in the morning, which is disappointing if you're trying to sleep in. Otherwise, it's delightfully quiet!" ~Sarah
