Located within a 105 year old converted hospital building, the unique Thomas's Catlins Lodge and Camp Ground is located in Owaka. Guests can relax next to the fireplace in the shared lounge, or read a book from the library. Free WiFi is provided. Local attractions include the sea lions at Cannibal Bay and Purakaunui Falls, which are both within a 20-minute drive from the property. An array of beach and bush walks are available in the surrounding areas. On-site facilities at Thomas's Catlins Lodge include a dining room and a shared kitchen with a refrigerator, oven and a microwave. There is a large games room with billiards, darts and a piano. Other shared facilities include bathrooms and a guest laundry. Each heated guest room is equipped with bed linen. Some rooms feature a private bathroom and garden views. You can prepare a meal using the barbecue facilities provided under a large undercover dining area, walk in the grounds or visit the fish pond. Free parking and free DVD hire are included. We no longer host any seasonal workers on our property.

Please note that there is only 1 local supermarket, which is open from 07:30 until 19:00 each day. Guests are advised to visit the supermarket before arrival. Please note that for breakfast included rates, breakfast is continental.

Children of any age are allowed. Children up to and including 1 year old stay for free when using an available cot. Children up to and including 5 years old stay for free when using an existing bed. Children up to and including 15 years old stay for NZD 15 per person per night when using an available extra bed. People 16 years old and over stay for NZD 20 per person per night when using an available extra bed. You haven't added any cots. Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management. Supplements are not calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.
