"Pros: The location is conveniently close to "town" but better than being in the town because of the beautiful, calm surroundings. The room was spacious and comfortable and pretty (seemed new). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent but could have had more variety.
Cons: The loud fan in the bathroom comes on automatically a few minutes after the bathroom light is switched on and stays on for about 5 minutes after using. This makes relaxing in the tub less enjoyable, but I fixed that by using a pretend candle. This seems to be a thing in many New Zealand hotels/ lodges, so maybe it's a building code thing."
