"Pros: the location was great. Five minute walk to train station. The apartment itself was nice. Cons: There is a nightclub/bar around the corner and on the Friday night there was a lot of kids partying on the street outside of our bedroom windows until 3am. There was also some construction going on at the building and the contractors had a mechanical ladder that went right over the apartment that they would use to pull materials up with very early in the morning. It was quite loud. If there was air-conditioning, we couldn't find it or it didn't work. Though I believe it is common in Netherlands not to have air-conditioning? Lastly, to use the toilet you have to leave the apartment since it is located at the entrance to get inside the actual apartment. There is a glass encased outside entrance (where the code lock is) to a foyer that you go through to get to the apartment door. The toilet is in that foyer, so anyone outside can see you walk into it. They should have curtains behind the glass." ~Lb
