"Pros: The location was perfect for us! We prefer to stay outside busy cities and Edam was a great choice for us. We didn't have a car so we walked everywhere or used public transportation. It is an easy 20 - 25 minute bus ride from Amsterdam Central Station to Edam Bus Station and then a 5 minute walk to Fenix Edam. There was a grocery store within a 15 minute walk and great restaurants within 5 - 10 minute walk. Awesome French bakery/bread shop nearby too. The unit was super clean, tastefully decorated, and bed was very comfortable. Everything you need is there and we loved it. The hosts were awesome! Eva met us and showed us the unit and was super accommodating with any further needs. Robert and Eva are both wonderful people and fun to chat with. There was a folder with restaurant suggestions and other highlights in Edam. The town of Edam is super cute and fun to walk through. The adjacent town of Volendam is also very nice at the harbor area. It is a great location and launching point to other areas north of Amsterdam, especially if you want a nice stay out of the busy city center of Amsterdam. We would absolutely stay here again!
