"Pros: Villa Trompenberg is a super cozy place to spend some time away from the main city. Whether you're visiting the area or just want to get away from Amsterdam, this big mansion transformed into a de luxe B&B is a great option: the surroundings are very calm, the house is beautiful, decorated and maintained with care. The owner and staff are great, super accomodating, and make a very good breakfast. At the same time, everything is self-service, from entrance to snacks. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, bed and shower are awesome, all great! Hilversum is a small city but has a few nice places to eat. We come here every now and then just to get away from kids :-) and the busy life. Cons: It's a bit on the expensive side, but again, worth it for what it is." ~Dalembertian
