"Pros: The exceptional settings, sitting on our porch with a beer in hand watching the sunset listening to hippos in the lake. The friendly host Heiko cooked some amazing food, and is very knowledgeable about all the animals, we went on a drive with him which was great, saw lots of wildlife including hornbills and other colourful Birdlife. There's a great 6km hike around the grounds we did and sat at a smaller lake watching the wildlife. The room was great, beds comfortable and shower had instant hot water. There was so many birds in the trees in the morning, a photographers dream, and the lookout tower was great for wildlife watching. Cons: The WiFi was pretty poor and to note, if you are approaching from the south then don't follow google maps, the road you turn off the highway to takes you to a military base 30 mins drive up, you have to turn around and head back to the main road and drive around until you approach Ovita from the main road from the east. We were able to drive the roads in a 2wd SUV to get to Ovita." ~Andrew
