"Pros: We recently stayed in the one-bedroom bungalow suite at Viewpoint Ecolodge and had an exceptional experience. The hotel is beautifully renovated, with 24-hour electricity (a rare promise kept in Myanmar) and reliable Wi-Fi. The room was spacious, well-furnished, and felt like home, with adjustable A/C or heating for night-time comfort. Excellent value for the price. Breakfast was simple yet high-quality, offering customizable continental or local options. I particularly enjoyed the traditional Shan tofu nway and fresh avocado juice made with local ingredients. The Shan dinner was equally impressive, featuring fresh produce from local markets and the hotel’s eco-farm. The location is perfect for exploring Nyaung Shwe, local markets, mountain trails, and Inle Lake via their private jetty. The staff were warm, professional, and spoke excellent English. Viewpoint Ecolodge exceeded expectations—a beautifully designed, eco-friendly retreat and a true home away from home. Highly recommended!" ~Jade
