The sky was so clear that we could see the stars and an amazing sunset. After serving us a Berber tea at the camp, the crew gave us our opulent tent in the middle of the Sahara. I mistakenly believed that we were staying in a desert palace rather than a camp, where everything we needed to have a good time in the Merzouga desert was accessible.
