"Pros: THe location is excellent and it's a family hotel that really cares and is trying. The balconies have maybe the best view of the mountains that I can imagine (I checked other hotels in person in case I was missing out). The balcony has wonderful sunlight for much of the day.
The staff were really helpful and provided lots of blankets and coverings to keep warm - I went in the height of winter.
Also, somehow they had hot water in the shower. I did not expect this, given the location and the rustic nature of the place.
This hotel is also away from the center, which I liked. You need to drive a few minutes into the village, or take a 40 minute or so walk.
Cons: I did not realize the rooms were not heated. This is probably my fault. It took me 2 days to get acclimated to the cold, but there were enough (7 or 8) blankets that helped me to not freeze :)
Power and internet went out every night. This is not the hotel's fault. But it's worth being aware that there could be some time where you can't work at night (if you're a digital nomad). Just keep this in mind and you'll be fine.
This is not a "riad" in the traditional courtyard sense. It's just a standard hotel. But this is being too nit-picky, and maybe everyone calls every hotel a "Riad"."
