"Cons: My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Atlas during the Imilchil Marriage Festival. We had had to pay 69 Euros per night in advance. The booking said there were 4 double beds in the room, but in fact there was only one. My complaint is that we did not get the room we booked and that we were vastly overcharged. For the price, we had expected something much nicer. The manager, Mr Abdul Mohammed, was friendly and helpful, and spoke a little English and French. We liked him. He agreed to knock in two nails so that we could rig up a curtain over the window for privacy, produced a double bed sheet on request, kept an eye on the car, and went out to buy us doughnuts for breakfast. He did not produce towels or toilet paper, and when we said that Booking.com mentioned heating he offered to get us an extra blanket! Future guests should note that this is a Basic Hotel which should not cost more than 20 Euros a night. There are 8 simple double rooms with extra mattresses on the floor. All 8 rooms share two showers, two squat toilets, and one wobbly hand-basin. The entrance is via a dark, concrete staircase, and the parking is not on the property. It is on a narrow and uneven alley between the property and the police station. There is a very limited restaurant but we saw no evidence of a bar, even though we asked where people could buy alcohol. We really wished we had not paid in advance. Even at festival time the hotel was only half full, and we would have got it for a much fairer price if we had just turned up." ~Peter
