"Pros: We were given a warm welcome from the start of our week there with our son and his partner. The riad was tricky to find at first, and the stairs were a little uneven for old Brits new to Morocco, but we loved the views from the rooftop, and spent several hours up there. The beds were very comfortable, and breakfast (delicious and filling) was served at whatever time we got up. We were also lucky enough to be invited to dine with the owner Paul and the manager Nezha, and enjoyed a wonderful range of dishes cooked by the latter, who also runs cookery classes; we were only sorry to have booked a class already somewhere else. If we get the chance to revisit Essaouira, we'd love to stay again!
Cons: More hooks in the bathroom would be useful to hang clothing and toiletry bags, and perhaps a range of pillows for those who like softer ones."
