"Pros: Niken hotel is in a great location. Right on the beach but in a quieter end of the beach which was so nice and chill. No loud music thumping or major partiers yelling. Yet very walkable to go to restaurants etc...Also when i say right on the beach I mean you step out of your room onto the sand. Beautiful ocean views from the room. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Additionally the location is very central to alot of the sights and adventures that you'd like to explore in the regions of Tulum. A nice breakfast was included everyday so that was great for the budget. Cons: This is not about the hotel, but the entire coastline was full of seaweed washing up onto the beach. It was hard to access the ocean unless they dug out a pathway through the sea grass. The other thing i would recommend is a pathway from the room to the restaurant and hotel desk that has pavers or tile, so that you don't have to walk in sand whenever you leave your room. For instance if you are going out for dinner and have on shoes that you don't want to get full of sand." ~Lauren
