"Pros: Large room. Comfortable bed. Brought an extra small fridge up to the room for us to store our food for the week.
Cons: There should be a small table and 2 chairs in the room to sit with your coffee and snacks, or play games. There is plenty of room to add this. We brought our own folding table and chairs to facilitate this. It made it much more comfortable and user friendly." ~Nancy
"Pros: I came to Tijuana in March 2024 for cosmetic surgery and needed an affordable accommodation in a safe area. This place served my purposes perfectly and was exactly what I needed. I communicated with Sandra who was always helpful and speaks perfect English which made it very easy to pose all my questions and understand the set up. She contacted me after my multiple surgeries asking how it went and was incredibly understanding about the unfortunate staining I unintentionally left due to leakage after my surgery. I've stayed in contact with Sandra since my return and plan to return to Tijuana next year for further surgery and would absolutely look to stay here again. I can't recommend it highly enough.
The location is quiet and very comfortable, with room to store clothing and luggage, bathroom with plenty of clean towels, comfortable bed, kitchen with fridge, microwave, blender, cupboard with pots and pans etc, toaster and door to the patio.
The wifi was amazing and saved my sanity while recovering from painful surgery. There's a shopping center close by with a Walmart and CaliMaxx close by too.
Cons: I don't have any real complaints about the accommodation, but just a few suggestions for the future:
1. The kitchen is very well stocked with appliances but needs a few more pots/pans/plates etc as there were very few and some items weren't very large.
2. Figuring out which keys open each door was slightly confusing although eventually I worked it out. For anyone who stays here, you get a set of 4 keys in the lockbox, each with a different colored ring. The green key opens the main gate outside the house. You go in, walk down the left side, through 2 iron gates which lock with latches not keys. You then come to a small courtyard behind the main house. Past this courtyard is the door to the studio on the left. There is a screen door which wasn't locked. The door to the studio opens with the orange key. The other 2 keys are not used, based on my experience.
3. Locking the studio door when you go out was very difficult to work out as the key doesn't lock it. You push the door knob in from inside and then pull the door shut. This will lock it.
4. The bathroom cupboard has a mirrored door which opens but won't stay all the way open to the wall. It has a small arm for hanging a washcloth but as it only stays halfway open I ended up banging my face on this arm while leaning over the sink. I had to ensure the door was closed fully before doing anything over the sink.
5. The toilet gets clogged quite easily and also doesn't always respond when the flush button is pressed. I had to lift the lid on several occasions and depress the flushing mechanism manually to get it to flush.
Despite these small issues, it didn't detract from my satisfaction with the studio or my appreciation of Sandra's help and concern. Still an absolutely great choice for accommodation in Tijuana." ~Maria
