"Pros: If you are traveling through the Yucatan and Homun is an option, we highly recommend this gem of an urban oasis. Ever and his wife are exceptional hosts. Dining is can be done in their small open dining hall or you can be served on the terrace in the "concourse"/ terrace located in the relatively newly build lodging buildings. We choose the latter for both breakfast and dinner and were rewarded with two of the most memorable days and nights of our two week tour that also included stays in Merida, Maxcanu, Celustun, Uxmal, Tekax, Isamal, and Valladolid. On four previous trips we have stayed in many small villages and towns throughout the states of Yucatan and QR and this stay at Quinta YaaxBe will always remain one of our fondest memories. The evenings are simply gorgeous with the landscaping and lights.
Ever and his wife provided spectacular service and conversation as well. His background in vacation resorts and cruise ships was evident and the food preparation and service was four star imho!
The "Quinta" (estate) is wonderful and the family working the grounds provides both fresh edibles, sustainability, and wonderful gardens with pathways.
Cons: I suggested that a bit more shelf space, even additional luggage racks, perhaps a surface area for laptop use would greatly assist us travelers." ~Carl
"Pros: It’s a beautiful little oasis. The cabins are beautiful and rustic with air conditioning. The areas are green with lots of plant life. The rooms spacious and bathrooms beautiful. When we had issues the kind owner offered us a complementary breakfast.
Cons: It’s a little pricy considering the facilities weren’t in function. The internet wasn’t working so we could not surf the net nor watch TV. The jacuzzi didn’t work properly so we couldn’t use it because the heating component was out of work. So we weren’t able to enjoy the pools and jaccuzi because it was cold." ~Sylvia
