"Pros: Lovely grounds and just a few minutes walk to the beach where we had a sunbed with umbrella. Small and shady swimming pool directly outside the room. Big room with AC and hammocks outside. Staff very friendly and helpful. It's a 10 minute walk along the beach to the centre, but there's lots of bars and restaurants along the way.
Cons: Wi-fi was patchy but we were aware this would be the case and it worked if you stood closer to reception. No breakfast included or possible on-site which for the price paid would have been nice to have had included."

"Pros: Visited this place 2nd for 5 nights on our trip of Mexico. Beautiful island, beautiful looking hotel and perfect location on the island.
Room: on the surface a basic room (coco) and the cleaning/ room service team were excellent.
Restaurants: tried LUUMA the first night- food was good (expensive but worth it). Service was terrible- waitress was very rude.
Overall: unsure if I’d stay here again - think probably not given the hit or miss service.
Cons: Did two of the tours the bioluminescence and whale sharks. Both on reflection over priced. The bioluminescence costing 65 dollars/person- lovely peaceful kayak however the guide flicked the plankton a few times to show the bioluminescence. Whale sharks 250dollars/person- unfortunately didn’t see any whales sharks (one of the risks you have to accept), ceviche was lovely, didn’t get to snorkel at all, so paid to sit on a boat for 6 hours bombing about looking for sharks.
Room: Basic. 1. Dimly lit bathroom 2. No full length mirror 3. No mini fridge. 4. No wardrobe or storage. The price you’re paying is for the outer hotel, not the room.
Service was very hit or miss generally throughout. At the beach could be very good one day and then other very disappointing with next to no service or rude service provided.
The beds on the beach were often occupied with belongings from other guests leaving belongings on the bed for hours without using them.
Internet works about 25% of the time- even when working very slow.
Restaurants: tried LUUMA the first night- food was good (expensive but worth it). Service was terrible- hostess’ were v rude.
On check out (with the hotel being one of the more expensive for the island and certainly not a hostel) the reception has the cheek to ask for a tip for the cleaning staff (that’s what the expensive room payment of $350 a night for our small basic room should cover)"
