"Pros: The property was excellently situated on the main road in Trou dʼ Eau Douce. We were met by the host and his wife, who were very friendly and showed us around the property. The interior was very quirky but homely. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the cooking facilities good. The pool was covered, so was very cooling and was cleaned regularly. We were easily within walking distance from many shops and restaurants. Also, the bus stopped outside the property. Gaetan made sure we had everything we needed and constantly emptied the waste bins. Just two lovely people. Cons: The village is vibrant, some would say noisy. The buses, although cheap were not particularly frequent. The local public beach, which was within walking distance was adequate, however there were stunning beaches just a short bus ride away. Inevitably, there were barking dogs, as there is everywhere on the Island. These things overall were minor irritations." ~Elizabeth
