"Pros: We visited the villa for the second time and again everything was perfect. Beautiful quiet place, large swimming pool, outdoor covered seating. New kitchen and new bathrooms. Once again, we enjoyed the house and the whole Le Morne area to the maximum. Everything was perfect from welcome, cleaning, pool and garden care."

"Pros: We first stayed at the Troux Biches Resort and had a 3 bedroom villa. This hotel was pricier per night, so our exceptions were high. We booked 3 rooms, which were upgraded from a grove view to an ocean view. This was a nice surprise. The location is absolutely stunning and I can't imagine a nicer place in Mauritius. They had a good selection of dining options, but most of them seafood.
There was a mix-up with our breakfast to go. The sports manager (manager on duty at that time) was very apologetic and offered spa treatment for my son and his partner, as the rest of us were traveling back home the next morning. The next day after the spa treatment, they also received a free lunch. Mistakes happen and it's good to see that they did their best to make up for this. Well done.
Cons: There were multiple complications and mix-ups with our booking and stay.
1. I was the main person booking, yet all letters and invoices were addressed to my 18 year old daughter.
2. I had booked breakfast to go, as we had an excursion planned for the day. They mixed up the days and we had no breakfast to take with us. (See my comment above on this)
3. We had enjoyed cocktails every evening and when checking out, there were some drinks, that we did not order. It was clear to see, that it was not our signature and the reception quickly agreed that there was a mix-up. I do think the hotel should change their booking system to avoid charging the wrong people.
4. There was mold in our bathroom, which should not happen at this level. We did not complain as we were only staying for 3 nights and the room was right between the rooms of our kids, so we didn't want to move. (see photos)
5. It took a very long time to get our drinks at dinner and sometimes we never received them. Not sure if they were understaffed, but this was disappointing to see and the hotel should improve here.
Not a negative point but something good to know.
Our kids are 16 and older. The hotel has a lot of young kids, which is nice to see but changes the atmosphere of the hotel a lot. Keep this in mind, should you be looking for a quiet beach vacation."

"Pros: We had a lot of private space. It was supremely quiet with excellent indoor spaces and trees visited by fruit bats each evening. Joanne and Foufou kept the place clean each morning and were fun to chat with as well. The kitchen is fully equipped and the BBQ was a great addition. The pool was small, but clean and very refreshing. Having a car is very important because the three public beaches are kilometers away (2-5 minutes). The local grocery store was shockingly well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals each day. Communication with the owner was prompt and very supportive.
Cons: There are 4 resorts and 3 public beaches that use the road as access. So it can be loud during the day. The repairman could not fix the washing machine, but we really only wore swimsuits. We hope that the pool light is repaired fully."
