"Pros: Wonderful stay! Terrace with a wonderful view. Large living room with open kitchen. Comfy bedroom. Nice shower. Everything is there for you, kitchen nicely equipped, beach towels, even snorkels for the beach etc. Host was very nice, stayed in the back and gives you privacy but always there when you needed something. Even brought us fruit and a hiking map. Also speaks English, which is a plus. Cons: Nothing to complain. Only the wifi was very weak and not in every room, not a problem for us, but could be for some people maybe." ~Jan-erik

"Cons: My host wasn't there to meet us when we arrived in the dark at 21:30. In fact the hause that the GPS showed was boarded up and it wasn't the one in the pictures. Unfortunately there was no real address so I didn't actually know if I was at the right place. There was also no sign "Carombole". All the neighbors I talked to never heard of the place. They called the telephone number for me and no answer. The next day after a nights sleep and thinking more clearly, I checked my mails, maybe our host was worried and sent me a mail. In fact he sent me a mail while I was in the plane to say he wasn't going to be there. Gave me a number from a guest I should call, he will take care of everything. Wow i thought, a guest. But ok i called the number a couple of times but only mailbox, what a surprise. I go to the place I went last night and could see I was at the right place. Our host signed the email with his name and it was on the mailbox along with a real hause number. Why this number isn't used in the Address for Carmbole, I don't know. I ring twice (its a loud long bell) and what a surprise no answer. But know its the right place so I open the gate and go in. The guest is on the terrace reading to his son. Guess he didn't hear the bell. He shows me Carmbole and that was that. This is where it gets good for me. I tell the Host maybe it would have been better to write me a mail before I leave for Martinique. He could of then gave me instructions how to get to "Carambole". Something like this: "Hi we are not there but go to the GPS Coordinates and there is a White Haus with red trim number ??. There is a Boat parked out front, walk past the boat and there is a gate on your left. Open gate and follow the path; the key is under the mat". But the best was he says it was my fault I didn't contact him. I was speechless. I should have made arrangements for a late arrival." ~Darrell

"Pros: There is a small fish market- opens early morning until 09AM. You can have fresh fish every day here. Also, there is a bakery and a vegetable market. The owners of the property, Andre and Valerie ,are very friendly and helpful. Cons: Nothing." ~Andrei

"Pros: ONLY the swimmingpool was a plus and the view from the terrace overlooking Martinique. Cons: Upon arrival strong sewer smell in bathrooms. The couch in front of the televison was broken down and therefore VERY uncomfortable. The dishwasher was not only filthy but also broken. The kitchen and its utensils were old and rundown. There were initial wifi problems connecting to the internet. According to the booking site the hostess should be able to speak English but hardly did. This so-called 'villa' is not by far worth the rate the owner charge you for it! We paid € 280,00 per night for this place but it was even worth less than half of this amount!
