"Pros: We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. On the positive side, the room and common areas were very clean, you could tell that housekeeping really takes good care of the place. The bed was very comfortable! and the bathroom was kept clean and well-kept. The room and hotel itself look chic and elegant, but... Cons: There were some downsides. The biggest issue was the noise, it was quite loud outside the hotel. The room was supposed to be on a quiet street, but that was not the case. Cars and motorbikes were constantly driving by, and very loudly! The window glass is too thin to block the noise. There were also roadworks taking place right outside the hotel during our stay. Another important point: there was no air conditioning, even though the description said there would be. When we arrived, the room was very warm. After the staff checked the air conditioning system, it turned out that it wasn’t functioning properly, it could only heat, not cool, the rooms. Some points we missed in the room: *There is a coffee/tea corner, but no small spoons to stir your drink. *There are no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels. *Since the tap water in Malta is not drinkable and you have to buy bottles of mineral water, a small fridge would have been very useful to keep the water cool. *There are many light switches in the hallway, it would help to label them. *There are nice lamps next to the beds, but the plugs were English-style and the lamps were not compatible, so we couldn’t use them. *There was no phone in the room, so every time we had a question or needed to contact the staff, we had to go downstairs. *The reception was sometimes unattended, and there was no sign indicating how long it would take for someone to return or a contact number to reach them. We often saw guests waiting. Lastly, when we arrived, we received no information about breakfast hours, the location of the breakfast area or where the swimming pool was. Some basic tourist and transportation information about Valletta and other sightseeing spots would also be useful." ~Itziar
